Emerging Artist Mentorship by Chris Henry

“Last year, Chris approached me with the opportunity to be Royal Family’s emerging artist of 2019. [The] kind of support [that Royal Family showed me] at this stage in my career is rare and it has changed me forever. There are a lot of people that tell you “no” for a lot of reasons. Chris and everyone at Royal Family welcomed me to the playground. They told me how to have fun and how to stay safe…but ultimately let me play on my own and make my own decisions. That freedom is invaluable. Without it, one doesn’t get the chance to learn about themselves as an artist and a human being. This process has taught me so much. I was sure that this play would live on my desktop forever. Chris and everyone at Royal Family have provided me with an opportunity that I will never forget.”
